03-04 September 2018 {

This year we were looking for startups from 2 distinct Go-To-Market categories fitting into one of our 5 themes:
Productivity, Automotive Data, Money/Micro-Transactions, Business to Business and Entertainment.

Adaptors are companies that already have an existing smartphone application that they want to make accessible while driving. Using  SmartDeviceLink they had the opportunity adapt their app for in-car use and thus make safer to use while driving!

Envisioners have driver focused digital services and solutions that could be deployed via the cloud for use in car.

The Winners

 Our winning teams received cash prizes as well as the ability to tap into a travel fund to keep discussions with the Ford team all over the world going!

Based on our jury selection the following 4 teams came out on top:

JiFleet {

JiFleet was founded in 2016 and its winning platform provides a card-less white label payment method for fuel for fleets, integrated with fleet management platforms.

}

Category 2 - Envisioners:  We are looking for companies who have driver focused services as well as solutions for use in vehicles in the mid term (think 2020 and beyond).  For example what could a passenger in an autonomous vehicle do with their time while being ferried to their next destination?  Could embedding monetisation and transaction opportunities in vehicle offer customers value? We will be using this track to solicit ideas in order to ‘strike up a conversation’ with companies we may want to collaborate with.   Come talk with us!

Inpris {

Inpris is a touch based infotainment systems solutions provider that presented an innovative HMI that enables superior infotainment control and driver awareness, all while allowing drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

“The creativity level I have seen over the past couple days is sky high. The Israeli ecosystem has once again proved to be fruitful and very advanced, both in the tech world but also in the automotive world. The wide-ranging topics discussed and presented, by various Israeli and European start-ups are the best proof of the diversity of the automotive industry and the constant progress it is making”

Don Butler, Ford executive director, Connected Vehicle Platform and Products.
